PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion method for suitably dispersing powdered titanium oxide with a photocatalytic ability, and also to provide printing coated paper which is excellent in operability and has a good printing quality and has an action allowing a harmful substance to be decomposed by being exposed to light through use of the powdered titanium oxide obtained by the dispersion method.;SOLUTION: The dispersion method for the powdered titanium oxide with a photocatalytic action carries out the mixing treatment of the titanium oxide and silica sol or alumina sol in a state of having a total solid component of 45-60 wt.% of both the powdered titanium oxide with the photocatalytic action and the silica sol or the alumina sol and further adds the silica sol or the alumina sol to become a ratio of 2:1-1:2 of the titanium oxide to the silica sol or the alumina sol. The production method of the printing coated paper applies coating liquid containing the powdered titanium oxide obtained by the dispersion method to base paper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
