PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for pretreatment or post-treatment of methane fermentation, a post-treatment system for methane fermentation, and a method thereof which improve efficiency of methane fermentation treatment. PSOLUTION: The apparatus for pretreatment of methane fermentation comprises a coarse crusher 12-1 for coarsely crushing organic waste material 11, such as garbage, a fine crusher 12-2 for further finely crushing the coarsely crushed waste material 11A, a sorter 14 for selectively sorting foreign materials 13, for example, vinyl material, mixed in the waste material 11A, a solubilization tank 15 for solubilizing the waste material 11B, from which the foreign materials 13 have been removed, so as to adjust the moisture content to a predetermined value, a screen 16A which is a first solid-liquid separator for removing the foreign materials 13 remaining in solubilized liquid 18A solubilized in the solubilization tank 15, a return line LSB3/SBfor returning solubilized liquid 18C from which the remaining foreign materials 13 have been removed to the solubilization tank 15 again, and a supply line LSB5/SBfor supplying solubilized liquid 18D for methane fermentation from the solubilization tank 15 to a methane fermentation tank 21.
