PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the occurrence of tracking breakdown and the tracking degradation with a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: A tracking phenomenon detecting device constituted of a current detection means for detecting the AC current of a prescribed frequency to be supplied to an electric path, and an operation means for performing a predetermined arithmetical operation corresponding to the occurrence of tracking breakdown and tracking degrading based on an extracted peak value by extracting the peak value for every one cycle from the AC current detected by the current detection means. The operation means is constituted such that, when the calculated result of a mean value calculation means is equal to a preset threshold value or below and the subtraction result of a first subtraction means is equal to a corresponding threshold value or above, the tracking breakdown occurrence is determined, and meanwhile if the counted result of a counting means is a preset threshold value or above, the tracking degradation occurrence is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
