THIRD HARMONIC GENERATING LASER DEVICE AND METHOD OF GENERATING THIRD HARMONIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a third harmonic generating laser device capable of improving conversion efficiency from fundamental laser light to third harmonic laser light in a simple structure without shortening a service life of a nonlinear optic crystal to obtain a high output, and a method of generating third harmonic.;SOLUTION: A SHG crystal 4 for generating second harmonic laser light from the fundamental laser light, a first THG crystal 5 and a second THG crystal 6 for generating the third harmonic laser light from the fundamental laser light and the second harmonic laser light, and a three-wavelength reflecting mirror with reflectivity of 90% or higher for each of the fundamental wave, the second harmonic and the third harmonic laser light are provided on a light axis of the fundamental laser light. The SHG crystal 4 generates the second harmonic laser light in two reciprocating directions. The first THG crystal 5 and the second THG crystal 6 generate the third harmonic laser light by wavelength conversion, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
