PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of input determination based on an output current from a magnetic field sensor by outputting an induction current of maximum value from the magnetic field sensor when a pen tip part of an electromagnetic pen is brought into contact with an input surface to perform input.;SOLUTION: The device comprises a liquid crystal display element 1 which performs image display and display of a plurality of input keys; a sensor substrate 15 disposed on the side opposite to an observation side of the liquid crystal display element 1 with a predetermined distance to the input surface 1a composed of an observation-side surface of the liquid crystal display element 1, and wherein a plurality of magnetic field sensors 17 and 19 are provided on the surface facing the liquid crystal display element 1 in compliance with the plurality of key display parts of the liquid crystal display element 1; and an electromagnetic pen 24 including a pen body 25, a pen tip part 27 disposed in contact or adjacently to the input surface 1a, and a magnetic field generation coil 29 wound in the circumferential direction of the axis of the pen body 25 in the vicinity of the pen tip part 27, and having a diameter such that the intensity of a magnetic field generated becomes substantially a maximum value in a position where the pen tip part 27 is in contact with the input surface 1a or adjacent thereto with a predetermined space.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
