PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a residue adhering to a shaping mold of a rubbery tire or the like exactly in a short time without deformation of a major material of the mold by heat. PSOLUTION: The apparatus has a work placement table on which an item to be cleaned is placed, a manipulator arranged above the work placement table and having multi-joints of at least two joints, a laser head arranged at the tip end of the manipulator, a laser oscillator supplying a laser beam to the laser head, an optical element mounted on the laser head and irradiating the laser beam to the item to be cleaned, and a controller moving the manipulator along the shape of the item to be cleaned. The laser oscillator emits CO2 laser and other short laser beam, and the manipulator moves the laser head along the concave and convex shape formed on the item to be cleaned.
