PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a price reduction method and a price reduction bar code label for preventing forgetting to reduce the price of discounted merchandise at a cash register, facilitating scanning of a bar code containing information on the price reduction, facilitating sticking of a bar code to the merchandise for indicating the price reduction, and for reducing the possibility of an illicit act.;SOLUTION: On a concealing piece 13, color coding or ground tint pattern continuing from the outer frame of a label main body 11 is provided so that it can be recognized, when stuck on discounted merchandise, that it has been separated from one label. Also, a second cutoff line 15 for adjusting the length is provided to the concealing piece 13 and, further, a meaningful character string (a message) 17 is recorded on one side the second cutting line 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
