PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for working a ceiling cornice member capable of facilitating working of a ceiling cornice member of an exterior material of a building and a structure, in particular, an opening part such as a window frame of a building using a synthetic resin-made siding, achieving excellent precision in dimension, improving the appearance, and being applied to the ceiling cornice members having different dimensions and to provide a method for working a corner part of the ceiling cornice member by use of this auxiliary device.;SOLUTION: This auxiliary device 1 for working the ceiling cornice member is composed of a reverse trapezoidal plate body 2 having an oblique side of 45 degrees and a rectangular plate body 3 bent and extended at a right angle to the reverse trapezoidal plate body 2 from a base C of the reverse trapezoidal plate body 2 and using the base C as one side. This method for working the corner part of the ceiling cornice member comprises a process for abutting the reverse trapezoidal plate body 2 and the rectangular plate body 3 on an opposing face to a wall fixed face constituting the ceiling cornice member and a bottom face for connecting the wall fixed face with the opposing face, respectively, positioning an upper fringe end part of the opposing face of the ceiling cornice member on the oblique side of the reverse trapezoidal plate body or an extension line of the oblique side, and then cutting the opposing face along the oblique side and a process for cutting the base in along a side fringe of the rectangular plate body 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
