METHOD FOR TREATING Mg-ALLOY SCRAP, METHOD FOR PRODUCING MgB2-BASED ALLOY POWDER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MgB2-BASED ALLOY SINTERED COMPACT OR MgB2-BASED ALLOY WIRE MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative technology by which a dense and homogeneous MgB2-based alloy sintered compact or MgB2-based alloy wire material can be easily and efficiently produced at a low cost.;SOLUTION: A fine and homogeneous Mg-alloy-boron mixed powder almost free from impurity contamination is produced by simultaneously performing homogeneous mixing and fining of cut scrap exhausted in a production process of a magnesium (Mg) alloy and boron (B) powder by subjecting the cut scrap and the boron (B) powder to friction pulverization and mixing in vacuum or an inert gas. Further, homogeneous and dense MgB2 is produced by using the obtained Mg-alloy-boron mixed powder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
