PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction method using a glass-lined device having a reduced temperature difference between the inside of the device and a jacket portion.;SOLUTION: This reaction method for supplying phenol PL and phosgene CDC into a reactor 11 of a glass-lined reaction device to synthesize diphenyl carbonate DPC at a reaction temperature TR of 150°C is characterized by supplying PL at a supply temperature TP of 75°C to remove calorie corresponding to a reaction heat quantity QL (-7.2 kcal/mol: exothermic) by a sensitive heat quantity QP (3.6 kcal/mol×2 moles: endothermic) of PL based on a temperature difference ΔT between the supply temperature TP and reaction temperature TR of PL from the reaction system, thereby little necessitating a heat exchange between the inside of the device and the jacket portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
