PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synonym integration system for preparing a synonym dictionary from a synonym group in which OR-combined words in a search expression are set in a row.;SOLUTION: A new synonym group is fetched in which the OR-combined words of a search expression input in retrieval is set in a row into a synonym dictionary by defining word frequency corresponding to each word as 1 (S110). When one row of the synonym dictionary is defined as a main row, and the other row is defined as a sub-row (S150, S180, S190), the main row is compared with the sub-row, and whether or not predetermined conditions are satisfied is checked, and whether or not integration should be carried out is determined (S160). As the result of comparison, when the predetermined conditions are satisfied, as for the same word of the sub-row as the word of the main row, 1 is added to the word frequency of the word corresponding to the main row, and as for the word in the sub-row which is not present in the main row, the word is added to the main row, and the sub-row is integrated with the main row, and the words of the main row are rearranged in the order of the word frequency (S170). Afterwards, any unnecessary row or word is deleted (S200). The similar concepts are organized, and concepts are ordered based on the importance (word frequency) in this synonym dictionary.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
