PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbohydrase inhibitor composition capable of continuously releasing a carbohydrase inhibitor in the stomach to continuously develop the effect of the carbohydrase inhibitor, having a size easy to swallow and sufficient staying time in the stomach, and easily producible on a commercial scale.;SOLUTION: The sustained release preparation of a carbohydrase inhibitor staying in the stomach contains a stomach staying layer having sufficient staying property by high mechanical strength in the stomach and exhibiting good disintegration property in the intestines in addition to a drug releasing layer containing the carbohydrase inhibitor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
