Narcotic Antagonists: Naltrexone Pharmacochemistry and Sustained-Release Preparations

Naltrexone is one of the drugs developed as a result of National Institute on Drug Abuse efforts to provide drug-dependent persons with new treatment methods. This volume details analytical methods for measuring naltrexone levels, the pharmacokinetics of naltrexone in test animals and man, and the development and manufacture of clinical materials. Also it summarizes the most promising of the approaches to treatment over the past few years. The volume will serve as a guide to other efforts in the area of drug development for long-acting drug preparations.
