PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral administration composition for the amelioration or prevention of eyestrain caused by a new action mechanism comprising ciliary hypermyotonia without using the inhibition of endothelin converting enzyme.;SOLUTION: The oral administration composition for the amelioration or prevention of eyestrain caused by ciliary hypermyotonia contains a component selected from vegetable-originated polyphenol, triterpene, its derivative, flavone analog and their salt as an active component. The component selected from vegetable-originated polyphenol, triterpene, its derivative, flavone analog and their salt is a fraction produced by extracting a part or whole body of a vegetable with hot water and fractionating and purifying by liquid-liquid extraction with an organic solvent and having a phosphodiesterase inhibition activity of ≥30% at concentration of 100μg/mL.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
