PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor with an electromagnetic brake, which suppresses occurrence of waggle at the end of a motor shaft.;SOLUTION: A brake rotor 2 integrally comprises: a cylinder part 2a where a screwing hole is formed for securing to a motor shaft 1 with a setscrew 10; and a disc part 2b to which a friction plate is attached. The inside diameter of a portion 2c of the cylinder part where the screwing hole is provided, is made smaller than the inside diameter of other portion. The electromagnetic brake comprises the brake rotor, and a brake stator comprising: an armature that can contact with/separate from the friction plate; a spring for pressurizing the armature to the friction plate side; and an electromagnet which attracts the armature by an attracting force larger than the pressurizing force of the spring.
