PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new three-dimensional cultured pigmentation skin model, to provide a method for producing the model and to provide a method for evaluating the localization, excretion, metabolism and degradation of melanin using the three-dimensional cultured pigmentation skin model.;SOLUTION: The three-dimensional cultured pigmentation skin model is prepared by inoculating a normal keratinocyte and/or an immortalized keratinocyte and/or an epidermal cell into a culture medium containing the melanin and/or a melanosome and/or a fluorescent bead and carrying out three-dimensional culturing. The three-dimensional cultured pigmentation skin model obtained by the method for production can be used to evaluate the localization, the excretion, the metabolism and the degradation of the melanin. Furthermore, a model of the pigmentation and effects of a bleaching agent can be evaluated. A kit is provided with the culture medium comprising the melanin and/or the melanosome and/or the fluorescent bead in order to prepare the three-dimensional cultured pigmentation skin model.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
