PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ascertaining projection of wedges of a pile for civil engineering by which it can be ascertained that the wedges housed inside a pile body surely project into the ground, and to provide the pile for the civil engineering enabling the method for ascertaining the projection of the wedge.;SOLUTION: In the pile 1 for the civil engineering, strain gauges are fitted to a plurality of wedges 6 housed in the hollow piles 2A, 2B. In the method for ascertaining the projection of the wedges of the pile for the civil engineering, driving of the wedges 6 into the ground is ascertained by measuring the strain generated when the wedges 6 project into the ground by using the strain gauges fitted to the wedges 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
