PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV ray curing type overprint varnish composition capable of forming a smooth and continuous coating film without being repelled on an oil-based ink printing surface even if a coating film is a thin film in in-line coating, and capable of manufacturing a printed matter having sufficient scratch-proofing property and anti-blocking property and further having high glossiness with sufficient productivity. PSOLUTION: The UV ray curing type overprint varnish composition used in the in-line system coating onto a paper surface printed with an oil-based ink contains (A) a photopolymerizable compound having at least one (meth)acryloyl group, (B) an acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature of 0-100C and a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-50,000, (C) an epoxyacrylate resin having a melting point of 0-100C and a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-3,000, (D) a photopolymerizable initiator, and (E) a silicone based surfactant. A solid content of (B), (C) and (E) is 1-15 mass%, 1-15 mass% and 0.1-3 mass% based on the whole solid content contained in the composition respectively. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
