PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out allele concerning to crisis resistance or susceptibility to bovine mastitis, and to provide an evaluation method and means of the resistance and susceptibility. PSOLUTION: The method for evaluating crisis resistance or susceptibility to bovine mastitis of a test bovine comprises detecting DQA1SP*/SP1201 allele and/or DQA1SP*/SP0101 allele of DQA1 gene encoding a bovine major histocompatible antigen DQ molecule α chain of a test bovine.
