PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specified section extracting device capable of efficiently extracting a specified section, such as a release section from the content of a musical piece.;SOLUTION: The specified section extracting device comprises a cut-point detecting section for detecting the time point where the voice signal level of musical piece data or its change amount is a predetermined value or larger, as a cut point; and an extracting section for extracting a section where combination of an interval of the detected cut points, or time distribution of the cut point are similar, as a specified section. A section before and after the time, where the voice signal level of the music piece data or the change amount of the voice signal level is a maximum in a musical piece, is set as a temporary specified section candidate; and when the section where the combination of the interval of the cut points or the time distribution of the cut point are similar exists, the extracting section may extract the specified section candidate as the specified section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
