PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end structural assembly for constituting a railway car body for transporting passengers which is lightweight, capable of withstanding a large load and easily manufactured at low cost in order to maximize the number of acceptable passengers within a permissible limit of the load on an axle of a truck. PSOLUTION: The end structural assembly (12) of a railway car body is provided with a chassis (4), a roof (6) and side faces (8, 10), fixed to one longitudinal end of a car body (2) forming a tubular cell to connect car bodies (2, 172) to an adjacent second car body (174) and to transmit the load of the car body to a truck (176) for supporting the car body common to the second car body. The assembly is provided with a lower intersecting member (16) having a center part (34) and two transverse parts (36, 36). The center part is provided for carrying a connection member (24) to be connected to the second car body (174) adjacent to the vehicle body (172), and each transverse part is supported on suspension devices (28, 178) for the car body on the truck.
