PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper pressing device capable of easily adjusting position adjustment of a paper pressing plate in a direction crossing the paper surface of a paper sheet in a short time.;SOLUTION: The paper pressing device 41 is installed in a downstream part in a feeding direction of papers 9 at a paper feeding part 3 and adjusts attitude in a direction crossing to the paper surface of the fed papers 9. The device 41 is provided with a support member 57 extending in a width direction of the papers 9 and provided movably in a vertical direction; a drive means 73 for moving the support member 57 in the vertical direction; a plurality of mounting members 101 mounted along a longitudinal direction of the support member 57 with a gap; and a plurality of paper pressing plates 103 mounted to the mounting members 101 respectively and having a pressing part 117 arranged approximately parallel and closely relative to the papers 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
