PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a uniform electric field by correcting a resistivity distribution in the direction of an electric field generated by a resistance film for generating the electric field along a substrate surface.;SOLUTION: An electric field forming element 1 has a substrate 2, the resistance film 3 formed on a surface of the substrate 2, and a pair of linear electrodes 4a and 4b electrically connected to both lengthwise ends of the resistance film 3, and generates the electric field along the surface of the substrate 2 by applying a voltage between the pair of linear electrodes 4a and 4b and thus supplying a current to the resistance film 3 to generate a potential gradient. The resistance film 3 formed on the surface of the substrate 2 to generate the potential gradient is made different in width along the length to make uniform a resistance value per unit length of the resistance film 3, thereby generating the electric field which is uniform along the length.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
