PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor of a transverse magnetic flux type of permanent magnet excitation applied with an attraction power reduction structure which can obtain a noise and vibration reduction effects caused by attraction cancellation by inserting and arranging a stator in the middle of a leg part of a mover to cancel the attraction power generated between the mover and the stator. PSOLUTION: In the linear motor of a transverse magnetic flux type of permanent magnet excitation, the iron core of the mover and the permanent magnet are -shaped having the leg portion on both sides and the middle portion arranged in a straight line, windings respectively wind the iron core of the -shaped mover and the opposite side leg portions of the permanent magnet of the mover, the iron core of the stator has a plurality of projecting portions formed projecting along the length of the center portion, wherein the projecting portion has a rugged shape structure with the projecting portion formed projecting from the center portion alternately and laterally, furthermore the projecting portion is inserted and arranged between the iron core of the mover and the opposite side leg portions of the permanent magnet.
