PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature oxidation resistant carbonaceous shaped article which exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a high-temperature oxidative atmosphere by a film coated on the surface of a carbonaceous shaped articles and a method of producing the same.;SOLUTION: The high temperature oxidation resistant carbonaceous shaped article (10) includes a base material (A) containing carbon, a base layer (B) covering the base material (A) and having oxidation resistance, and a surface layer (D) in contact with open air, and includes an intermediate layer (C) which is disposed between the base layer (B) and the surface layer (D), and in which the side of the base layer (B) is formed into compact substance (C1) and the side of the surface layer (D) is formed into porous substance (C2).
