PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loom reed equipped with at least one part having U-shaped cross section and a row of dents oriented transversely relative to the U-shaped part.;SOLUTION: The loom reed has the following construction. The U-shaped part 103 has inner grooves 139. These inner grooves are furnished on at least one of U-shaped two arms 131A and 131B arranged transversely relative to the longitudinal axis X₁₀₃ of the U-shaped part. The end 151 of each dent is inserted sideways into at least one groove 139 of the U-shaped part.
