TRANSVERSE VIBRATION DETECTION DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR ROPE, AND CONTROL OPERATION DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse vibration detection device for an elevator rope estimating and calculating the transverse vibration of a rope when a building is slowly and horizontally shaken. PSOLUTION: The transverse vibration detection device of an elevator rope detects a transverse vibration quantity of the rope occurred when the building is slowly shaken by long-period earthquakes or strong wind. The transverse vibration detection device has a transverse vibration width calculation part estimating and calculating the transverse vibration quantity of the rope by using a quantity of forced displacement from the building exerted on the rope, duration of the vibration, and a natural frequency of the building.
