PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper lapping shoe of a paper lapping device allowing its concave surface having a circular arc section to flow over a surface perpendicular to the axial direction of a work even if the axis of the lapping shoe and the axis of an object to be processed are dislocated from each other on the surface perpendicular to the axial direction of the work and capable of giving a uniform finish to the shaft surface of the object processed by putting the shoe in a uniform, tight attachment to the shaft of the object processed without a risk of the shoe making a single-sided contact with the shaft of the object to be processed. PSOLUTION: The paper lapping shoes 3 are supported by shoe holders 2 in such a way as swingable in the axial direction round a pair of fulcrum pins 4, and a center pin 10 is provided to be fitted in holes 16, 21, 22 and 31 formed at centers of opening/closing arms 1, the shoe holders 2, and the shoes 3, and then the shoe holders 2 and the shoes 3 are supported by the opening/closing arms 1 through the center pin 10 and a washer 13 swingably in such a manner so as to flow round the center pin 10.
