PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advantageous delivery system of factors enhancing maintenance of cells in a differentiated form in which the cells can survive, proliferate, regenerate and can be easily produced, and in a form which is suitable for transplantation using cells and highly controllable. PSOLUTION: A composition is provided for promoting survival, proliferation or differentiation of transplanted cells, wherein the composition comprises biological factors and wherein the biological factors are suitable for delivery into cells by releasing from a biodegradable polymer matrix and the cells are adhered or suspended on or in the biodegradable polymer matrix. Alternatively, a composition is provided to be transplanted into patients required therefor, wherein the composition comprises transplanted cells in combination with biological factors and the cells are provided on the matrix or suspended into the matrix.
