PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an informing method and device of a calibration timing of a biochemical measuring instrument.;SOLUTION: A stand for storing a urine sugar meter in a state where a urine sugar sensor is dipped into a buffer solution is provided with a display device, and a communication means capable of receiving data from the urine sugar meter and a microcomputer are included thereinto. A communication means capable of transmitting data to the microcomputer in the stand is added to the urine sugar meter. When storing the urine sugar meter in the stand, the communication means in the urine sugar meter and the communication means in the stand are operated, and state information of the urine sugar sensor stored in the urine sugar meter is transferred to the microcomputer in the stand. Then, the urine sugar meter is put into a sleeping state, and a power consumption is maintained in the minimum state. The microcomputer in the stand counts time elapse independently based on the state information of the urine sugar sensor received from the urine sugar meter, and displays in which state between a measurement waiting state, a measurable state and a calibration state the urine sugar meter is put, on the display device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
