PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of exactly predicting an amount of oxygen production in order to reduce electric power for oxygen production by achieving optimum production balance in a plurality of oxygen production plants in an iron process etc.;SOLUTION: An amount of use of oxygen and blowing times are segmentalized by several tens to a few hundred of kinds of steel and are converted into a database form. For an error between predicted amount of use of oxygen and actual amount of oxygen both converted into the database form, the pressure gradient of the oxygen holder by predicted amount and the pressure gradient of the oxygen holder by the actual quantity are automatically compared with each other and the pressure gradient ratio is calculated, and the ratio is multiplied by the predicted amount for the next time to correct the predicted amount. Further, for the error of planned time for starting use of oxygen, according to the interval of planned blowing schedule, all the planned times for starting use of oxygen in each shift is automatically corrected.
