SELF-CALIBRATION METHOD OF SCALE FACTOR IN CLASS-II CORIOLIS VIBRATING GYRO HAVING DUAL RESONATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform self-calibration of a scale factor in a class-II Coriolis vibrating gyro.;SOLUTION: This self-calibration method of the scale factor includes a step 501 of making either of two resonators in a closed loop mode and the other in an open loop full angle mode operate; a step 502 of sensing the angular velocity by each of the two resonators; a step 503 of calibrating a scale factor of a closed loop resonator and generating an integrated full angle which is the same as that measured by an open-loop resonator; a step 504 for making each operation of the two resonators invert; and a step 505 of alternately proceeding between the open-loop operation and the closed-loop operation of the two resonators and performing self-calibration of each scale factor of the two resonators.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
