PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an active seismic response control system capable of computing vibration control outputs serially at high speed to improve stability and precision in the control.;SOLUTION: Vibration control outputs are computed by a serially calculating method for an equation of motion including a vibration control system, a structure causing vibration to be controlled, etc., seismic force obtained from a seismic force measuring means every time interval in serial calculation or a value for predicting seismic force obtained from an immediate distribution system by an earthquake observation network and a displacement measured value of the structure to be controlled are obtained to calculate serially. Although displacement of the structure must be detected by sampling time of at least about 1/100 seconds, it becomes possible by applying a high speed image processing system. Although the immediate distribution system by the earthquake observation network is not yet perfected at the time of application of this patent, this device according to this invention will be realized when the installation plan is carried out in the future.
