COMPONENT FOR FORMING WILLIAMS CORE, AND PATTERN FOR MAKING CASTING MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for forming a Williams core, which component can change "the portion for forming the Williams core" of a pattern for making a casting mold, and further to provide the pattern for making the casting mold.;SOLUTION: The component 1 for forming the Williams core comprises a recessed portion 2 having the shape of the Williams core 5 to be formed in the casting mold 15, a vent hole 3 for extracting air, which vent hole 3 is formed at the tip end portion of the recessed portion 2, and a fixing mens 4 which is formed on the outer surface of the component 1 for forming the Williams core and is dismountably fixed to the pattern 6 for making the casting mold. The pattern 6 for making the casting mold comprises a casting mold cavity forming portion 22, and a blind riser forming portion 23, and further has a burying hole 14 for burying the component 1 for forming the Williams core. The component 1 for forming the Williams core can be used by being changed because it can be dismountably mounted into the burying hole 14 of the pattern 16 for making the casting mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
