PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constituent member of a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of keeping contact between an electrolyte and a catalyst well; a membrane-electrode assembly; a polymer electrolyte fuel cell; and methods for producing the constituent member and the membrane-electrode assembly. PSOLUTION: This constituent member of a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes at least an insulating porous membrane, two conductive porous membranes, and bonding portions between the insulating porous membrane and the conductive porous membranes, wherein the two conductive porous membranes are arranged oppositely to each other by interposing the insulating porous membrane, the two conductive porous membranes do not show separation from the insulating porous membrane or the two conductive porous membranes show separation with damage in a cross cut test conforming to JIS K 5600-5-6, and wherein the constituent member has an air permeation resistance of 10-200 sec/100 ml per 645 mmSP2/SP.
