PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a coke oven able to shorten the time for constructing the coke oven by enabling the installation and the removal of a temporary shed for constructing the coke oven in constructing the coke oven by using the temporary shed for constructing the coke oven, and the temporary shed for constructing the coke oven.;SOLUTION: The construction method is to cover the coke oven body bricklayed in the temporary shed when constructing the coke oven. The construction method in which the aforesaid temporary shed for constructing the coke oven already constructed beforehand is moved to a place of construction of the coke oven body before constructing the coke oven body, and after the construction of the temporary shed for constructing the coke oven, the aforesaid temporary shed for constructing the coke oven is moved from the place of construction of the coke oven body is used.
