PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the unauthorized use of software by the terminal of a user who receives the provision of application software, and to easily and quickly provide only a function desired by a user.;SOLUTION: A method for managing use of application software includes the steps of: enabling a management server to receive authentication information from a client device and to perform user authentication; generating and storing a unique code when user authentication is positive, then transmitting the unique code to the client device; causing the client device which has received the unique code to store the value, execute application software, and transmit the unique code stored in a predetermined timing during the execution together with the authentication information to the management server; and causing the management server which has received the unique code to collate it with the previously received and stored unique code, and return the use inhibition of application software when they are not matched.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
