PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus in which a link aggregation (LAG) between line cards can be configured and an LAG management table can be avoided from falling into a state of mismatching and transmitting a frame to a fault port. PSOLUTION: A frame transfer section 12 of a communication apparatus 1 comprises a retrieval table 124 and an LAG management table 125 constituted of entries each combining an LAG group number and a port number constituting the LAG. A switch function section 121 includes a function for selecting an output port from port numbers of an entry in accordance with a distribution algorithm while an output port determined by retrieval of the retrieval table 124 is being registered in the entry within the LAG management table 125; a function for matching retrieval tables 124, 134 between frame transfer sections 12, 13; and a function for matching LAG management tables 125, 135 by reporting information about a port state constituting the link aggregation.
