PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing method on an optical address type display capable of obtaining a preferable contrast in a displayed image to be formed without being influenced by external light even when external light is present, and to provide a member suitable to be used for the method, and a writing device.;SOLUTION: The writing method on an optical address type display medium by irradiating an optical address type display medium 1 with addressing light from a light source 18 to write an image is characterized in that the medium is irradiated with address light from the light source 18 while a louver type external light shielding member 2 is disposed on the face of the optical address type display medium 1 in a wiring side, the light shielding member 2 comprising a plurality of long thin plates arranged with the inclination of shorter sides of the plates being almost parallel to the propagation direction of the address light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
