Organic for producing refractive index gradient layer at a rapid reaction rate - and a method of manufacturing a soluble organic polymer and optical components include inorganic hybrid material, a ligand polymerizable thermally or photo-polymerizable, high index of refraction polynuclear metal complexes, and surface-modified nanoparticles in single or, if desired, the hybrid material is suitable for forming a refractive index gradient, and includes additional components are described. Heating produces a concentration gradient in the metal complex or the local irradiation of hybrid materials or viscous solid, resulting in an increase in refractive index portion which is exposed it therefore. Refractive index gradient structure produced in this way can be fixed by curing. For example, the optical component having a gradient structure for the application of imaging optics, refractive index gradient material produced is outstandingly suitable planar waveguides, holographic image, the optical data storage medium and light-induced component.
