PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the grafted state of a scion to a rootstock while improving the workability. PSOLUTION: A raw wood W for grafting is cut with a cutting device in longitudinal direction to form a rootstock W1 or a scion W2. The cutting device is provided with a raw wood holding bed 20 to hold the raw wood W. The raw wood holding bed 20 is provided with at least three cutting blades 40 arranged with regular intervals on the circumference of the raw wood W to be held, and slantly cutting the held raw wood W relative to the extension direction of the raw wood W toward the core part of the wood.
