PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a continuous annealing furnace not needing to use a large amount of expensive seal gas, capable of positively preventing scratches on a steel strip surface by a simplified device composition with easy maintenance, and capable of positively carrying out blocking of a furnace interior atmosphere and a furnace exterior atmosphere, and to provide a ceramic fiber block for the sealing device suiting the device.;SOLUTION: In the ceramic fiber block for the sealing device, a ceramic fiber blanket is meandered and formed in layers. In the sealing device 1 for a continuous annealing furnace, the ceramic fiber block for the sealing device is built with a seal nozzle 3 jetting out the seal gas in an interior, and the fiber block 2 is applied to a seal material of the sealing device for the continuous annealing furnace.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
