PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft aligning method for aligning a hydrostatic axis line of a movable ring hydrostatic bearing with a bearing static axis line.;SOLUTION: The movable ring hydrostatic bearing comprises an outer pocket 11 for a movable ring 4 stored in an outer shaft bearing cylinder 1, and an inner pocket 21 for a hydrostatic shaft 3. The movable ring hydrostatic bearing supports the movable ring 4 by ring support pressure generated by supplying a fluid into the outer pocket 11, and supports the hydrostatic shaft 3 by hydrostatic shaft support pressure generated by supplying the fluid into the inner pocket 21 through a ring forming passage 47 which is a gap between the movable ring 4 and an inner bearing cylinder 2. The shaft aligning method of the movable ring hydrostatic bearing and the movable ring hydrostatic bearing using this are installed to align the hydrostatic axis line with the bearing axis line by radially adjusting the position of the movable ring 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
