PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel evaluation method for skin barrier function restoring agent, capable of simply, quickly and surely evaluating whether a compound has skin barrier function restoring effects, and to provide an evaluation kit.;SOLUTION: The size of the ribosome in the ribosome solution, which is prepared by adding a compound that serves as a candidate for skin barrier function restoring agent, is used as an index and is evaluated in that skin barrier function restoring effect is higher, the smaller size of ribosome is.
