PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion construction method which solves the problem that earth and sand generated during excavation enter a skid injection device and cause clogging and a method for injecting a skid. ;SOLUTION: This propulsion construction method uses an excavator 1 for excavating the ground, a propulsion pipe 2 advancing along an excavated hole formed by the excavator 1, and a skid injection device 3 for injecting a skid into a gap between the propulsion pipe 2 and the excavated hole. The skid injection device 3 has a skid reservoir passage which comprises a recess open on its outer periphery and a closing lid constructed of an elastic body for opening and closing the recess, and to which the skid is supplied; when the skid pressure within the skid reservoir passage rises above a predetermined value, the closing lid opens and the skid is supplied backward; when the skid pressure is less than the predetermined value, the dosing lid closes so that no earth and sand or the like enter the skid reservoir passage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
