PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining method for easily isolating a high-purity and highly active IgM-type antibody from an IgM-type antibody-containing liquid contaminated with impurities. PSOLUTION: The refining method for a high-purity and highly active IgM-type antibody comprises the following process: An IgM-type antibody-containing liquid is subjected to pretreatment to remove impurities having high affinity for sodium urate crystal and then contacted with sodium urate crystal to effect selectively binding the IgM-type antibody to the sodium urate crystal, thereby accomplishing refinement for the objective high-purity and highly active IgM-type antibody.
