PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clinker ash formation accelerating method for accelerating the formation of clinker ash, and a clinker ash formation accelerator for use in the method. PSOLUTION: The clinker ash formation accelerating method for accelerating the formation of clinker ash by adding the clinker ash formation accelerator containing a combustion residue of coal, to coal used as fuel in a pulverized coal combustion facility 1, uses clinker ash as the combustion residue of coal. The clinker ash formation accelerator is formed by applying calcium compound slurry containing at least one kind selected from a group comprising slurry of calcined lime, slurry of limestone and slurry of slaked lime, to the surface of clinker ash.
