PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for controlling various functions of an image photographing apparatus such as a digital camera on the basis of control instructing data regarding the operation of a mobile terminal. PSOLUTION: Functions of an image photographing apparatus 2 are controlled from a mobile communication terminal 1 as a remote controller of the image photographing apparatus 2. The mobile communication terminal 1 and the image photographing apparatus 2 are connected through wireless communications 3 or optical communications 3, where image data from the image photographing apparatus 2 are displayed in a display part 13 of the mobile communication terminal 1 on a real-time basis, and various functions are controlled such as ON function, OFF function, a connection ON function, a connection OFF function, a recording start function, a recording stop function, a shuttering function, a flash function, a zooming function, an image size changing function, a monitoring function (a monitoring start function and a monitoring stop function), and an angle changing function and so forth of the image photographing apparatus 2, on the basis of control instructing data from the mobile communication terminal 1.
