PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for painting and calligraphy capable of easily and highly accurately performing the position adjustment of an object on a mounting surface and finely photographing the object. PSOLUTION: A photographing part 3 configuring the camera for painting and calligraphy 1 is provided with a light source 311 for projecting an illumination beam for illuminating the object, an imaging device 321 for picking up an image of the object formed on an image pickup surface 321A and outputting an electric signal and an illuminating/image forming optical system 35 arranged in an optical path common to both of an illuminating optical path L1 of a beam directed from the light source 311 to the mounting surface 2B and a photographing optical path L2 of a beam directed from the mounting surface 2B to the imaging device 321, converging the illuminating beam projected from the light source 311 to irradiate the object with the beam, converging a beam reflected by the object illuminated by the illuminating beam and forming an image of the object on the image pickup surface 321A.
