LARGE-THRUST LINEAR MOTOR UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact large-thrust linear motor unit capable of meeting any thrust requirements of several tens of thousands of N or above.;SOLUTION: The large-thrust linear motor unit is constructed of an armature unit 1 and a field unit 2. The armature unit is constructed of: a cylindrical armature base 1a; and multiple linear motor armatures 1b disposed on the inner wall of the armature base 1a in a polygonal shape. The field unit is constructed of: a cylindrical field base 2a coaxially disposed inside the cylindrical armature base 1a; and the same number of linear motor fields 2b as that of the linear motor armatures 1b disposed on the outer wall of the field base 2a in a polygonal shape. The linear motor armatures 1b and the linear motor fields 2b are opposed to each other with a magnetic gap in-between. One of the armature unit 1 and the field unit 2 is used as stator, and the other is used as moving element.
